In FCPS and at Willow Springs, providing all students with high-quality arts education is important. At Willow Springs, we have two full time art teachers, two full time general music teachers, and both band and strings teachers for students in the upper grades. We love the arts!

This week, we introduce you to our amazing Art teachers - Mrs. Holland and Mrs. Heslep.

A Message from Mrs. Holland

This is my 18^th year teaching at Willow Springs. I love teaching art because it’s so rewarding seeing the children’s faces light up when they walk into the art room or when I hear them say “Yes!” as they enter my room because they are so excited to work on their creations. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my two boys play sports, going on walks with my husband and Blaze, our golden retriever, and spending time at the beach, which is my happy place😊.

A Message from Mrs. Heslep

This year is my 23^rd year of teaching at Willow Springs. My favorite thing about teaching art is seeing the beautiful artwork that my students create as well as seeing how proud they are of their work.

I like to do a lot of things outside of school including spending time with my family, visiting my two older children while they are away at school, making decorations and furniture for my house, watching my youngest play field hockey, and taking walks with my two pugs, Willie and Sammie.
