On Tuesday, the second day of school, we were thrilled to welcome our FCPS Superintendent, Dr. Michelle Reid to our school for one of her school visits.

She was greeted by Mr. Taylor, Mrs. Stringer, Mrs. Tapper, and SCA officers/students. 🦊

The SCA officers took Dr. Reid on a tour to see key areas and programs that make Willow Springs such an amazing and engaging learning environment. 💙

First, they visited the outdoor garden, and then Dr. Reid met with students who were members of the award-winning Jason Project team. 🏆

The students explained their project to Dr. Reid and showed her their video. The final stop on the tour was a visit to the Willow Waves podcast studio. 😎

The visit ended with photos in the lobby and Dr. Reid left the school with a bag full of basil and mint from our garden. 🌱
