In 2024, Fairfax County Public Schools has 22 schools that have reached Green Flag status, Eco-Schools USA’s highest honor. The Eco-Schools USA program, is based on the work of student-driven teams dedicated to issues like recycling and energy, habitat, and animal conservation. Willow Springs’ Green Team, garden club, farmer’s market, bluebird trail, Monarch waystation, and food-sharing program initiatives will continue for the 2024-25 school year.

We are looking for family representatives (parent, grandparent, etc.) for the student-led GREEN CLUB for the 2024-25 school year. Meetings are held before school on the first Wednesday of every month beginning in October.
