ISRI and JASON Learning presented the winners of the 2022-2023 Youth Video and Poster contest on April 18 at the organization’s ISRI 2023 Convention and Exposition in Nashville, TN. Contestants in grades K-12 submitted original posters or videos that communicated one central theme –Recycling: The Key to Sustainability.

The Video Contest Winners are on Team Blue Steel, which consists of Bailey M., Yaesung K., and Ashvin S., fifth graders at Willow Springs Elementary, their teacher is Logan Williams. The students did an amazing job with their speech in front of 6,000 attendees! This is the second year in a row that a team from Ms. Logan's class won the Video Contest.

You can view the winning video (Blue Steel) on the Jason Learning link below as well as the honorable mention video (The Plaskateers), consisting of Akshaya A, Saisha K, and Chloe K. from Willow Springs with Logan Williams as their teacher.

ISRI partners with JASON Learning annually on a contest for grades K-12 that features recycling-related themes.

Our winners met with Board Members, toured the ISRI Exposition, participated in interviews, and received their awards.

We are so excited for our students and proud of the impact they continue to make beyond the walls of our school building. They have certainly well represented their class, their families, our school, and Fairfax County Public Schools as a whole.
